The Hopper picnic table re-imagines the traditional picnic table. The table silhouette is inspired by the hop fields of Belgium's “Westhoek” region, with easy entry points to get yourself seated. Elegance isn't exactly the main concern at a bustling beer festival, but it hasn't stopped designer Dirk Wynants from improving access to the classic picnic table. No more embarrassing climbs over tablemates.

Aluminum or steel legs in combination with class I hardwoods ensure material longevity while the attached benches offer a clean aesthetic at all times.

Hopper won many awards, such as the Reddot design award best of the best in 2011. The jury stated: Hopper is an example of a very successful re-design of the classic beer-garden bench. Based on the traditional “get-together” around a table, designer Dirk Wynants has produced an outdoor product with its very own style. This sculptural piece of garden furniture invites one to sit down and is functional and hardwearing in equal measure.
